JOHN S. BRYANT
DEPUTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY
John Bryant was born and raised in Morgan County, Alabama. He graduated from Falkville High School and went on to receive a BS degree in Economics/Political Science/School of Education from Auburn University. John then received his Juris Doctor degree from Birmingham School of Law. After completing undergraduate studies, John served as a teacher in Morgan County Schools and Hartselle High School. Retiring from education, John entered private practice in Cullman in 1998. Later that same year he joined the District Attorney's Office as an Assistant District Attorney. John was promoted to Deputy District Attorney in January 2005.
Member: Alabama State Bar Association, Alabama District Attorneys Association, Cullman County Bar Association and the National Child Support Association.
Primary Responsibilities: Supervision of the Child Support Enforcement Unit; Misdemeanor Docket and Felony prosecution.
JEFFREY H. ROBERTS
ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY
Jeff Roberts was born and raised in Morgan County, Alabama. He graduated from Hartselle High School in 1 982 and went on to receive a BA degree from the University of Alabama at Huntsville with Honors. Jeff received his law degree from the University Of Alabama School Of Law in 1989 and was in the top 20% of his class. While at the University he was a member of the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society, and received the highest grade in Criminal Procedure.
Jeff entered private practice in 1989 until 1991 when he joined the Cullman County District Attorney's Office in 1991 until 1997. Jeff returned to private practice in 1997 and continued there until 2005 when he returned to the District Attorney's Office.
Jeff is a member of Commissioner of Angels division of Dixie Softball, coach of girls' softball and AYSO soccer. He enjoys golf and reading.
Member: Alabama State Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar, Cullman County Bar Association and the Alabama District Attorneys Association. Primary Responsibilities: Traffic Court, Juvenile Court, Civil Condemnations of drug related property and Felony prosecution.
ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY
Jeremy Cline grew up in Cullman County and graduated from Fairview High School in 2006, where he was a two-time state champion in the pole vault. Jeremy attended Wallace State on an academic scholarship and was a member of the track and field team, earning honors as an NJCCA Academic All-American. Jeremy graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Political Science in 2009 from Troy University, where he was named the Most Oustanding Political Science Student and was a member of the track and field team.
Between college and law school, Jeremy worked as a political operative and consultant. He then enrolled at the Mississippi College School of Law, where he graduated in the top 25% of his class in 2013. Jeremy was awarded the Best Paper Awards in Criminal Law and Pretrial Practice - an honor given to the top student.
Jeremy worked in private practice from 2014 until 2017 when he joined the Cullman County District Attorney's Office. Jeremy is admitted to practice in all Alabama State Courts and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.
Jeremy and his wife Brittany reside in Cullman and attend Desperation Church. He is an avid sports fan and his hobbies include volunteering as a youth track and field coach, playing golf and running.
